You would never know by looking at these images that it rained in Vancouver for THREE WEEKS STRAIGHT literally up until the evening before this session. I am so thankful the skies cleared up for Matt & Casey’s day-after session and we were able to spend the afternoon exploring Whytecliff Park, one of my new favourite places in Vancouver!
Even though Matt & Casey got married a few months ago in Squamish, they were totally up for a day-after session, something I absolutely love to photograph! I’ve had many friends as well as past and current clients ask me about a day-after session of their own and I totally recommend it! It gives you the opportunity to visit a location that’s not otherwise possible on your wedding day and you get to wear your wedding dress again!
Better yet, say you’ve always wanted to get married in the Rockies or Iceland (think BIG), but you’re planning a local wedding instead. Welllll, feel free to take me with you on your next trip and we’ll totally take more photos!! 🙂
Instead of the usual hour we spend on your wedding day taking bride & groom portraits, we were able to spend about 3 hours for Matt & Casey’s day-after photos. In other words: you don’t have to feel rushed! This also allowed us to play around with certain poses, with Matt & Casey up on top of the hill and me walking allll the way back down to take more landscape-y shots (a technical photography term hahaha).
