David was playing soccer at the Nations Cup tournament a couple of years ago when he first noticed Simone. She was working at the beer garden and he had to go up to her several times to chat before he built the courage to finally ask her out (thankfully she said yes!).
They married in October at the False Creek Yacht Club and happily wore their wedding attire again for our day-after session together a month later. In lieu of a bouquet, Simone made a wreathe using the same flowers and David got a chance to wear his wedding socks (that he forgot to wear on his actual wedding day!).
I chose this particular location for our shoot because I LOVE the west coast and felt that the rocky scenery with the Lighthouse in the background was the right combination of “Vancouver”. There are lots of trails from the main parking lot and we relied heavily on Google Maps to get us to the right place, and we must’ve chosen a popular spot because there was also a bodybuilder doing his own photo shoot, many hikers with their dogs, and two girls who decided to skinny dip off the rocks! Still, the park was big enough for all of us so you can’t really tell it was that busy! 🙂
Congrats again, David & Simone! I wish you so many wonderful years of happiness!
