A few weeks ago I was at Delica Bridal for a private viewing of Truvelle’s 2018 collection. I was browsing the wedding dresses near the window commenting to the person next to me about how beautiful the dresses were. She and I started talking about the show, which dresses we liked best, and she asked if I was a bride. I told her I was actually a wedding photographer, and she then told me she was a hair & makeup artist! At this point, we instantly made a connection, exchanged business cards, and talked about the industry, trends, and our jobs.

Nada, as it turns out, used to live in Vancouver too (just a few blocks away from where my family currently lives!) and because we both work in the wedding world, we discussed potential collaborations together. She introduced me to another hair & makeup artist, Rahkee, and before the night was over, we planned a collaboration for the following month!

This collaboration was so unique for me because I was able to work with TWO amazingly talented hair & makeup artists for their individual concepts! Even though we all drove to Pyramid Lake in Jasper together, each concept involved different models and vendors, which makes this one of the biggest collaborations of mine to date!

Nada’s concept, as seen in this blog post, is based more on a romantic boho mountain elopement theme with Eizabeth and Chris as our models (you can see Rahkee’s concept HERE). I’m absolutely head over heels for Elizabeth’s dress because of the sleeves and the big bouquet of eucalyptus and greens from Two Buds Floral Artistry!

So many local talents were involved, so enjoy the images and make sure to head over to everyone’s websites to see more of their work!
