Everything about Marlene and Jason’s wedding was creative and romantic. We started the day at the University of Alberta in the same classroom where they first met. Marlene also baked all of the treats and dessert for their reception and even decorated the tables herself!

Their Friday wedding also fell on Winter Solstice, and I personally don’t think you can get more romantic than that for a winter wedding!

Marlene had family visiting from Austria for the Christmas holidays, so they knew it was the perfect season for their intimate wedding. They invited a handful of loved ones for the ceremony, with a larger guest list for the reception. I think this is a wonderful way of planning your wedding when you still want to celebrate with your friends but want to keep things intimate for the rest of the day!

I’m in love with their images – I hope you will be too!
